Maybe the PMs should be separated from the profile and put on the avatar tab.

Following discussion to reduce menu tags.
A Community tab to replace Forum and Wiki. This would also be a nice place to keep a page just for the tutorial kinda thing.
Maybe Items tag could become Closer and the first page would be artists. This would be easier on the site to load and we could have the subtags to lead to the pending subs, upload items, and recently accepted.
I also feel like the named tag should come last on the list, idk why but it feels more natural for a tag purely about my information to be at the end of the list (except for the mod tag of course)

Was looking at the new "games"/event page and got a question/idea;
- Is there a way to track if you've completed an event?
- Could we give them little progress bars, to tell you how far through the event you are? So just code it so a certain events in an event puts up the bar?
- Maybe a number next to it like "10/23" so you've got 10 items out of 23 you can get?
March 9, 2020 18:40 (4 years ago)
Well technically events won't exist in time so progress won't really matter. Actually eventually replayability will be more important than if you've completed said event
March 9, 2020 19:49 (4 years ago)
For the events as they currently are that's a great idea ^^
March 11, 2020 9:13 (4 years ago)
On the homepage there are multiple things that show site activity, but when they're all the way to the bottom you can miss them. Maybe their order should be dynamic, depdending on the most recent activity.
March 11, 2020 16:51 (4 years ago)
That's a good idea.~ Like if (of new users, items, birthdays, and oekaki) There is a birthday today, that section will be at the top(not including announcements, that should always be on top, right?)?
March 15, 2020 23:02 (4 years ago)
i was wondering!! would it be possible to add a third check to the gender identity box for nonbinary people? something like ‘other’!
March 15, 2020 23:11 (4 years ago)
Certainly, would be the right thing to do in this day and age!
March 16, 2020 3:34 (4 years ago)
more mouths? i know its hard but like- some that are less dark? so like skin tone almost??? haha also hi everyone missed you all <3
March 17, 2020 5:53 (4 years ago)
Maybe could our username page carry our profile CSS like our items (artists only) page does?
March 17, 2020 7:15 (4 years ago)
Oh you mean the dress-up/avatar tab? But only you can see it, right.
March 17, 2020 15:02 (4 years ago)
Yeah, but I code my profile for me, not the world. <3
March 25, 2020 20:37 (4 years ago)
If I may, I kinda think the sign up and login button should look the same.
March 25, 2020 20:44 (4 years ago)
No I tried that first but it's harder to use that way, because you'd always have to read what's on the button before clicking it.
I think you've done a great job! I especially like the one for forum~<3
I tried to look for a 'palette' one for oekaki, but I couldn't find one. :(
I prefer 'puzzle piece' for games, because I'm not competitive.
It's weird that they all look like different sizes. They don't look good toughing the border. Do you know why some are doing that?
July 4, 2020 21:46 (4 years ago)
They are all different sizes, while they're all in the same set. Maybe there is something else I can do. I thought the trophy could be seen as "achievement" because they are all events that can be 'completed', but puzzle piece may work, too. There is also a gamepad icon, but I don't think it applies very well.
There is no palette but there is "pencil". Usually that means "edit" though.
July 21, 2020 12:00 (4 years ago)
In the chat box you can't see the usernames of the people chatting, which is inconvenient.
October 24, 2020 17:50 (3 years ago)
A way too keep track of items you like
October 26, 2020 9:12 (3 years ago)
Ooo a favorite item tally or would a favorite artist tally be good enough? The favorite artist option could work like the best friends option on a friend's list, fav artists would be listed first and maybe updates on newly posted items?
Fav item feature could work more like the oekaki I suppose and could have its own section in the items tab :o
I think both could be very cool
October 29, 2020 23:12 (3 years ago)
I wouldn't want to add the whole artist... I sometimes only like one or two items from an artist
I had an idea for it today. It could work a lot like the items page, how you can veiw filter-able items (side note, can we please have a dropdown menu for artists too? I also very much like the idea of being able to filter by color.). The only two differences would be a blank start and there would be a place to add a new item to your inventory; I see that as being feilds to enter the artist, item, and color.
Will we be getting the lost and found back?
October 29, 2020 23:23 (3 years ago)
I was working on incorporating the lost and found in the items tab, thanks for your suggestions!
October 30, 2020 18:53 (3 years ago)
Not sure what the stars mean (I think I figured it out once but I don't remember, subscriptions?), but I think it would be cool to have another for bookmarks. Or maybe 3 icons.
October 30, 2020 18:54 (3 years ago)
Oh, forgot to add: I think it would look better if the subtitle/description was not also a link.
October 30, 2020 19:54 (3 years ago)
Well the stars on the list page means sticky (couldn't find a better icon) but it usually means things like favorite/bookmark.
October 30, 2020 20:46 (3 years ago)
TBH, I kinda wish you had the Google set...
October 30, 2020 20:50 (3 years ago)
I think they work fine for now, we have a lot of big things to work on and small things like icons are something that we as artists could make ourselves anyway
October 30, 2020 20:52 (3 years ago)
This is a little different, and easy to add. I suggest Google because I find that they have the icons I'm looking for.
October 31, 2020 2:24 (3 years ago)
I'm kinda hesitant to say this, but I think the logo and advertisements could use an update...
Another suggestion, emojis need a more modern way of sharing.
October 31, 2020 8:37 (3 years ago)
All the advertisements were made by users, so I'll gladly add yours if you make a new one. And I'd like to hear more about this more modern way of sharing you suggest.
November 3, 2020 1:04 (3 years ago)
...I don't think I'm the person to ask that. :/
A couple other things I miss from the legacy site is reversing the doll in comments and the option to hide online status.
November 3, 2020 6:53 (3 years ago)
Hide online status is also on the new site, see account options.
November 5, 2020 17:15 (3 years ago)
I think it would be cool to have a dress up theme calendar. Could be random days like those obscure holidays or every/other week there is some inspiration to change your outfit.
I think it would be popular to have contests--not necessarily all the time, and maybe only for "bragging rites." I like the idea of a way to keep track on a user's profile how many times they won. I've got an idea to keep track of likes during the competition too, but I feel like I'm asking too much. I was just remembering that it was a cool feature in another dress up game.
November 7, 2020 0:05 (3 years ago)
I like the dress up theme idea! Would also be nice for the oekaki board.
I also like the idea of avatar contests, I think I had it on my todo list somewhere, but I don't know if it would work well with so few users. I like contests in general, also for the oekaki or profile themes or writing. But what I learned from managing a contest wiki is that you need a pretty big user base, a good prize like official badge or currency or items and no more than 1 contest at once.
I know of a site which has a monthly posting contest and the people who posted most get a prize, but that's more like a leader board kind of thing.
November 7, 2020 1:46 (3 years ago)
I'd already planned to set up avatar contests that would prize currency and award a badge! :D
It would be cool to have a system where people could post their avatar for submission, kinda like how we could lock an avatar to a comment? So we don't have to keep creating wiki after wiki for each contest? Idk but it's an idea that I'd love to have for our relaunch
November 7, 2020 3:23 (3 years ago)
Artist related: I would LOVE the option to have sleeves for assesories, so we could mix-match tops and coats. I've noticed a distinct lack of sleeves, and I plan to remedy that! XD (I may end up regretting saying that lol)
November 7, 2020 8:34 (3 years ago)
Sleeves for accessories, that sounds like the glove layer, use it well!
November 7, 2020 16:31 (3 years ago)
Mmm, I never thought to use the glove layer for jackets and coats!
November 21, 2020 0:09 (3 years ago)
I think it would be smart if you made the pagination and logout links/buttons bigger. Easier to use on mobile.
December 20, 2020 1:41 (3 years ago)
I think it would be cool to have the last login date of the users on your user page under "Friends most recently active".
March 20, 2021 13:36 (3 years ago)
That info should actually be in the tooltip already, but tooltips are completely useless on mobile so good idea!
November 16, 2021 17:29 (2 years ago)
I think you should add a gender/pronoun preference setting to the Account Settings, so that people can chose he, she, or they so that other people know what pronoun to use.
*just noticed there is a gender option* ...
I think our profiles should show the pronoun we prefer, in the section that has the Join date, Profile last edited, Profile page views, Last logged in, and Birthday.
November 16, 2021 21:34 (2 years ago)
Oh the gender option is just for statistics since our avis aren't really gendered, on the profile it's only shown to mods. I could add an option to show it like with birthdays maybe?
November 16, 2021 21:36 (2 years ago)
Oh? Yes!
December 30, 2021 1:12 (2 years ago)

I just had the idea that I think it would be cool to be able to see how others have colored a coloring book page from the original. (Does that make sense? ^^;)
