Character description for Seraphine

((For starters, there are two perspectives sharing this space: mine and that of my character. When I want to be clear that I'm the one speaking, I'll use ((double brackets)).
Why this username, and why this kind of character? Just because ^^ but it goes without saying that I chose both in tandem with each other.))

((What do I do? I'm currently a student of linguistics. No, a linguist is NOT a polyglot, even though I happen to be both.
I tend to be interested in Romance and West Germanic languages, in addition to certain Semitic languages, as well as some from my region of origin that are about to disappear completely (among them Kristang, Baba Malay and some Chinese regional languages, or 'dialects' as some call them).
Do note, I said "tend to". So there may be some languages I haven't mentioned that I'm interested in.
On the artistic front, I'm interested in calligraphy, I can do lineart, and I'm a total pixelling novice (but I'll try! I have certain ideas in mind that I'd like to see through).))
