This may be off topic but I am stasrting to gain some consern over an odd knee problem. I am not sure if I applied too much pressure or pulled a stain upon it but I wonder if the only two paths are to take pills for awhile or a surgery in the future.

Waltz, I am in the same exact boat as you are.

Mine been onhgoing for months, what about yours?

Do you remember doing anything to it at all?

Well, I might just be a little over cautious of the matter. It started acting strange two days ago at work. Everything seemed fine and normal till I started outside to do a cargo flight. My leg staired to feel a bit odd as I do sharp turns around corners to open an aircraft door. I got curious to try moving my legs and found it was rather painful to bend my left leg when I tested by trying to squat and touch the floor with my hands. Did that a few times before tying some exercises. It helped lessen the pain.

I get the idea that maybe I turned in a way were my other leg didn't turn with me so I pulled it along or something. My shoes have rubber grips so they tend to have me stub on the carpet if I try a sudden spin. I started to really consider that it might be something more unless I'm not feeling my knees right. It seems when I place my hands on both my knees and move my feet from toes to heel, I can feel my knee joints move in my left than right. Not sure if it means much.

@Karin: I tried the list, but then most people there have never posted a single post in the forum, or at least been active enough for me to get to know anything about them at all.

And right now I do kinda love the fact that we don't need to earn something to grab the items.

@Waltz: Somehow I feel as if you're talking about me. x'< I forgot about this site before, since I was having a lot of tests [Last year in junior high school. It was a hellish year. x___X" I didn't go online for 3 months! 3 MONTHS. D8] and it was, to be blunt, pretty boring here.

But I've already counted us and some people. ;A;

I'd say you both go and see a doctor. ;3;" It's better if you have it checked before anything happens.
I used to have a small problem with my left hand: sometimes it was kinda hard for me to grasp it. [I hope that's the right word. O-o"] It doesn't seem to happen anymore now though.

Have to been icing it? If not you might want to, follow the simple R.I.C.E rules. Rest.Ice.Compression.Elevate.

Get a knee brace, or just some Ace bandage and wrap it up, ice it for abit while raised onto of a foot rest of something. In the morning, with the brace or whatever you put on, try bending it, doing that squat thing you had spoke about.

I'm not sure what is wrong with mine, the pain comes and goes. Sometimes it's bending, sometimes it's just weight pressure. But I have noticed that if I try to exerise it, in a controlled manner on my days off, it helps slightly.

Also when it really does hurt, take extra strength Tylenol, it have more of the painkiller stuff in it. I actually looked a thte miligrams lastnight at work.

Well, the pain is gone after I took my day off to ice it and basically rest most of the time. There wasn't any swelling but I tried massaging the area.

It doesn't hurt when I bend it now but I am being more cautious about it or putting more weight on the other leg and support on the knee. I also trying not to sit on my leg, which is kinda a habit. A doctor visit is intented later next week to have a look at it.

Just becareful with trying to baby your hurt knee because that can cause problems for your good leg as well.
Azkhadellia
January 30, 2010 8:29 ()
I know. Too much of a bother to try another new habit when I'm busy keeping theold one away so I gave up and treated it semi-normal. Watching my footwork.

*changes topic* X"3
.___. Well I thought I would be able to comfort myself a little after the test by reading a good manga, but... I end up being even more depressed now.
The manga is called "Remote", it only includes 10 vols, which is pretty short for such a nice manga to me. [Warning: its genres include "adult, ecchi, mature", but then the ecchi part thingy isn't much, so I skipped it whenever there are those kinds of images.]
So why does a nice manga have anything to do with my depression, you ask? Because I started reading it on Saturday night and finished it on Sunday morning! *sighs* The manga is great and the ending is pretty cool [normally I wouldn't want my favorite male character to end up with any girl, but then, well... I like the girl's character.], but it is TOO short. Way too short. .___.
It would be better if it were 5 more vols longer... but even with that, I might still want more.
And well, most manga I'm reading now are good, but they're taking way too long, Conan and Naruto, for example. So I'm getting tired of them.

Well~~~
Discuss: anyone has had that kind of situations? Would you rather read a long manga or a short manga? How many vols do you think a manga should have?
Anyone here has had read Remote? X"3
Edea Sorceress
February 1, 2010 15:32 ()
I haven't read that manga. It depends on the manga. I've read some that were too long and just dragged along. If the manga has enough content to keep going for a long time then I rather it be long that way i'll enjoy it longer.
Rosamond
February 2, 2010 16:31 ()
*tempts Rosamond* 8"D It's a great manga.
And I agree. ='/ Some manga are just overrated and end up getting longer and longer... I used to spend a lot of time reading a chapter of Conan, but now I don't bother thinking about all the cases anymore. D;

Since we're talking about the length of a manga~
There's one I'm reading now [two, actually] that hasn't been updated for a long time. x___X" I was a fan of it, but I lost my interest in it, I think. Has anyone had that kind of situations?
<< I'm still lucky though as at least I know those authors are still breathing and living healthily, unlike an author of a manga my friend used to read. She said the author had got pregnant and stopped, so she ended up having to wait for at least 9 months for the update. x__X"

I've been unfortunate enough to like some mangas which didn't get finish and probably won't ever get finish.
Rosamond
February 2, 2010 17:24 ()
Hmm....depends on the content for me. If I like it and it just happens to turn out it lasts for, an example, four volumes then if the ending is good enough to fit the short length then I won't mind it. For the longer ones, I try to follow a little and fade out a little casually. I'll catch up eventually so long as the material doesn't disappear in a puff of smoke.

You now, I just saw this movie "Avatar" and it made me wonder... maybe there are people out their who would trade their real body for a chibi pixel doll!

Also, having a USB cable in your ponytail would be very convenient!

^w^ i'm going to dress up as avatar na'vi for carnival >w<
*too excited*
actually i bought Vampire-knight-yuki-cross dress.. but it would arrive in 3 weeks >w<'' and anyway..no one of my friends would catch it..so.. happy anyway ^w^

about manga.. i think i quite unlucky.. a lot of my favorite manga were stopped and don't know if "someday" they would continue..but i have a lot of doubs about it :S
anyway i like not too long manga, except those that are really amazing..
i mean.. there are some mangas that have 59volumes and i love them, others (as inu yasha or FMA) that at a certain but just about read them..

ps. about the active discussion..i'm quite a shy person even in web (is odd but it is) and my english isn't great..so when i go around the site rarely replay.
that would be 'cause for myself i haven't nothing interesting to say about or happens even that if there is still a conversation that's going on i feel relucant to say something..'cause often worried to be a "third" inconvenient, i feel like a gooseberry..
know that is stupid but i'm made so ^^''

so..maybe..don't know.. if we have subtopics with differents main topic to talk about it would help people post often
*for me is ok as it is..at the end.. i like read others post being like a vanished cheshire cat ^w^ that there is but no-one see :P and i'm quite a boreing person so..there are a lot of times that i really have nothing to say X3 sorry i'm not a great chatter :P *

It's nice that you get to celebrate Carnival, Jiuly. It just so happens that I live in the part of Holland that isn't catholic so I only get to if I visit my grandma.

Oh yeah, something else about that movie...

"Unobtanium" ROFL
I thought the character that first said it was joking actually...

Seriously, somehow I think they should stop making too many parts for a cartoon. It's sometimes good to see the good old characters again, but then... x__X"
Edea Sorceress
February 11, 2010 2:16 ()
So like... "Unobtain" + ium?

Yeah....so they can make DVDs which is basically a flashback of 3-4 episodes placed in it to sell and the episodes really mean very little to nothing as story or for "mini adventures".

Yes, they said unobtain-ium. For the rare material they could only get by destroying Pocahontas' village. They didn't even say why they needed this material. Am I the only one who finds this hilarious? You need to have seen the movie to understand the Pocahontas reference I guess.
Karin
February 12, 2010 2:49 ()
Sounds like a set back if the material wasn't going to be used again at all in the movie. Plot excuse for something "unobtain"able.
Waltz
February 12, 2010 15:43 ()
x'D I guess they just want to do so? X"D
It's still ridiculous though.

[Does the word "unobtainable" really exist, btw? o-O" Since I think my teacher said yes, but there's no such word like that in my dictionary.]

Anyone seen the anime Nana? It's what I've been obsessing over the last few weekends. And when I obsess over something I forget everything else...

In case you know what I'm talking about, the music by the rivalling band 'Trapnest' is totally awesome!

Restaurant... I'm not sure if I have a favourite... I've been to many places, but the one time I ate tapas with a friend was awesome, so I think I'd pick Spanish for that reason. All American, I can only imagine that it'd huge steaks and fries? xD

The question made me wonder if there's such a thing as a "Dutch" style of cooking, most things aren't very original and can be found abroad as well... :>

Anime/Manga question... Pass... :>

You mean the "Final Act" which hopefully wraps up everything and hits the coupling off like most fans wanted instead of the series ending. Vaguely, yes. Noticed it on gogoanime.com and watched a bit before being distracted by other shows.

Usually they're ALL in english dub.@_@ There's also Korean Shows on it every 8 pm when it's weekdays. There are only a few ones subbed, then afterwards, they dub it.
Minami
June 17, 2010 18:40 (14 years ago)
Yeah, I'd rather just watch everything with subtitles. They used to just subtitle everything in Holland but now they're always dubbing the cartoons and children's series. But at least they're leaving things meant for adults, like the Simpsons, alone. Other countries in Europe even dub those.
Karin
June 18, 2010 8:00 (14 years ago)
I KNOW. Here in the Philippines, they dub most animes and Korean/Chinese/Taiwanese/Asian Shows in Tagalog, our language.
