December 27, 2009 8:06 () I think the second version looks like it's glowing more. They look pretty good. ^^ What I mean with more contrast is to make the shading stand out more from the rest. Right now it looks like most of it is in the shade so looks weird. I think you shaded it too much, the base color should show the most.
December 27, 2009 8:17 () I'm not sure how it would be held, it can be held in different ways but the staff must be really light or the person really strong. The staff is pretty big and has a weird shape. It looks like the staff is cutting into the hand as well.

January 16, 2010 9:14 () Those spikes look dangerous. o.o; It looks weird with them, maybe if they were smaller it would look better. The color of it looks better though. Wrappers and ribbons would be extra but yeah it would make it more complicated. I would just focus on getting the lollipop right first. It looks like they can be in any color. O.o I think the shading needs to stand out more and you might want to add highlights to add "shine" to it. The swirl seems to just end, I think it would be better if you made it reach the outline.
January 16, 2010 12:44 () I like the short battle suit version more. I think the top might look better if it was a few pixels longer. It has a nice shape to it. I'll say it probably would go best as underwear, at least for the bottom. If the spikes were all the size of the first smaller spike then it would look less weird to me. Right now they look like they might poke the avatars eyes out. XD Yeah highlights like the ball of the staff though they probably shouldn't be all that bright, unless you wanted it to look super shiny. I messed around with it as well.. Link ^^; I didn't spend much time on it so it still needs work but that's just to give you an idea. The highlights I would probably blend in more. The swirl still looks weird to me too but the lollipop has a nice shape so you can end up making it look pretty nice. ^^
January 17, 2010 14:45 () The round objects reminds me of planets, maybe you can make some into planets and turn it into a background for the dolls. XD The green lollipop you did looks good though. It definitely looks better then before. The tops look good for the most part and the pants look weird because of the shading I think. It looks like you shaded it too much and it looks like it needs a space between the bottom part of the legs.

I think you are improving and there's always going to be someone who is better but as long as you enjoy it then that's what really matters. Looking at tutorials helps and trying out new things.
