Basically CPDD is a community like most online avatar-based forums, but here we encourage our users to create their own items!
Of course it's easier and more likely for your items to be accepted if you're familiar with pixel art. The admins and mods do everything they can to help the un-familiar users though.
So if you'd like to give it a try, look through our wikis to find the guides showing you how.
Other than that, if you're not one for creating, it's all about chatting in the forums, completing the event puzzles and making friends!
You can join (or start) an RP, have extended discussions about any subject you like (we have many young users, so remember to keep language and topics clean), or just have little chit-chats about anything on your mind.
Another great feature of the site is that our avatars are set up to be used as more diverse emotes on other sites! Just visit the main Dress-up page and on the right side there's a section to choose the emote. Then copy the link and paste it into the site.
They go well in signatures too!
I hope that's cleared up some things for you. But let me know if there's anything you still don't understand and I'll try to further explain.

Oh, I totally forgot about the profiles. They are a free place for each user to make their "home" here.
You can put whatever you'd like: information about yourself, your drawings, favorite pictures off the web, make a list of your friends here or your favorite artists or anything else you'd like!
And furthermore you can edit the look of the page! This is my favorite part; you can add background images to many places; change the color of the text and links; add elements like online/offline indicators, your Christmas tree or Easter egg from some of the events, or a link to your Oekaki drawings.
I forgot about the Oekaki board too!
If you don't know what oekaki is, it's simple: it's a drawing board that allows you to save and post what ever you draw!
There's many great tools to use, although some things are a little confusing, I can easily explain or you can read the FAQs about it.
Alright I think that's everything... Enjoy!

One more little thing: I have a request thread where users can ask me to make a profile "theme/layout" for them. So if you'd like one but either don't understand how or are too lazy to do it, stop by and fill out the form.
