December 5, 2008 7:14 () LOL, we only have 2 holidays for 2 of them.. Rizal fought the Spaniards because of his novels.. The Filipinos were blinded by the Spaniard's deeds.. So, they didn't know the real face of these foreigners.. His stories convey the reality about the Spaniards.. These then awaken the nationalism among the Filipinos.. These inspired revolutions to fight the colonizers, too.. His works are Noli me Tangere & El Filibusterismo btw..
