That's nice, could use some work, try shading to make it look more like hair.

Smoothened lines : Sorry I Did not Edit The Tail that much

Please don't post the separate images here, just how they would look on the doll.
For now the item doesn't seem up to our standards. Keep trying, though!

i think you've done great for your first sub, i certainly remember the first time i tried to do hair...~shudder~ anyways i think your hair would be better if you downed off the top left corner a bit, as well as making the shading just a lil simpler? I like the dithering effect you've put on it, but trust me, its a lot easier to start simple. GL <3

why bottom items don't have a "back option" too?
November 24, 2013 22:22 (11 years ago)
That's a good idea, Jiuly, I'll see what I can do.
Sorry that the item above is on the corner of the picture and hard to clarify

Hehe I really hope you like this :-)

@iPink for the sake of display it's requested to just post the item as it would look on the doll base, not the layers.
Your item looks really nice and I adore the eyes as well. I'd really like to see more from you, perhaps a dress or some other clothing items? :3
I also might suggest outlining the hair darker to fit site standards better :3
@SonicRainboom I suggest looking at some items already on the site to see how things are shaded and lined to site standard :3
February 11, 2014 20:25 (10 years ago)
yea i was thinking same about the hair thanks for the great Feedback :-) hm a Dress? haha i could try i guess ;o
@ iPink make sure you're shading right side of your items because that's the style of lighting on our doll base. Other than that I suggest working on the shape of the skirt, you don't ever want the bottom of a skirt to be totally flat
other than that I really like the style and color so keep at it! ^^
February 11, 2014 20:52 (10 years ago)
:-) sure what shall i do next hehe i made a monkey Skin and a tail
that's super cute Pink!
Your outlines are too dark and look kind of lumpy/broken up so you'll need to work on smoothing them out and you need to remember to shade on the right side of the body to match the doll body shading
Again you need to make sure you curve the bottom of your top so it's not flat
Also it looks like you didn't shade the shoes but that might have been on purpose XD
@Sonic You need to make sure your items have an outline that is a dark shade of the items color, the items shouldn't ever have straight edges at the top or bottom because it causes the item to look totally flat, which a body is not XD
I don't see any shading on the items either and the hairline is way too high lol balding ;D;

Updated the shading on a few of the previous items:

Haha, loving the top hat and monocle.
Your moustache and jeans need a darker outline, and you need to round off the bottom and top of the jeans.
But i LOVE you banana suit and would wear it myself. xD

what do u think about the Dress? i tried hehe :-) hope u like
February 13, 2014 18:43 (10 years ago)
So cute.
February 13, 2014 19:39 (10 years ago)
@Monkey omg the banana suit ;D; so lol
the bottom of the pants look good now but you still need to bow the waist line down a bit to create depth
@Pink I really love the dress! I think your outlines look too dark, don't forget that the outline is just a really dark version of the items color but it needs to not be so dark you can't tell what color it is
Love the hair bow, really nice ^^ that hair looks amazing btw maybe slightly darker outline on that
@iPink Thats a pretty cool outfit, i love the hair and the glasses. I'd say the jacket need darker outline. The top doesnt seem to have an outline around the color either. And the shoes need shading. Plus the hair line on the hair looks strange, maybe try making it so the hair looks like its sweeping to the side more?
@Monkey Try to be careful with the moustache so ou can still see the mouth expressions.
@SonicRainbow Remember that outlines are essential, they should be a darker tone of the color its surrounding. You should try to separate all colours. Maybe try to start more simplistic so you can understand shading and shape more? You should really try copy and pasting some of the clothes you like on here and zoom in on them on paint, most pixel art structure is the same. But keep trying, your getting better and i love the imaginative ideas your coming out with!! :)

@SonicRainbow Oh i forgot to add, try to tidy the outlines on the pigtails, but i like that your editing it and making it better each time, just remember to take your time on your art, as normally this makes it look much better!
@SonicRainboom That really good, youve got better!
Just try to remember to keep your lines one pixel thick (Like the picture at the very top of the page) and the outline should be a darker shade as the colour its surrounding, like really darker.

I Tried To Make A Couple Of Dresses, But I Think I Failed.
Would It Work Or Do I Need To Fix It?
