@denan: For the hair, curve a little the lighting/shading. For the background, curve the shadings cause the light is from the upper left, don't straighten the shadings too much.

background-add some shade(s) for shading, ex: your shading is black add some greyish color.. sort of a layer..
hair-looks nice, but I suggest adding a little more details to it.

Sam and Ocean, both of you need to lighten your outlines, and recolor them.
The outline is normally just your primary color, but really dark.
And also at the top of this page there is a picture of how you should do your lines.
But i love your ideas and i think there really cute. ^^

@Paulina: Your first one needs smoother lines, it looks stiff, lumpyish. Also try to make your shading slightly darker on both, this is a bad habit of mine also.
The second one i like, though i can't even see the outlines, they need to be darker. And on both you should try to round the bottom more.

Oh! Very cute! The only thing off is that there should always be some (noticable) outlines around any white parts to match the style of the site.

Yeah what Karin said, also the front seems kind of rigid, you need to think about how real fabric drapes and hangs.
Also the type of shading you have on there, me myself i don't think that really suits the site but i could be wrong, but other than that, i would do some down the right arm and shoulder also on the white, maybe to help show there ruffles more with darker outlines and shading.
But that would be about it! Its really good, and i love the design of it. And this is the first I've seen of your work, so i'm impressed. ^u^

The sides on the bottom of the dress are kind of stiff, they should drape down.
The shading on the top and waist of the dress looks rigid, that needs to curve into the line.. If that makes any sense.
Other than that the dress is fine, but its a tad too plain to get submitted, try something like adding some ribbon around the waist, or maybe think whats on the back of the dress that might show, like a bow?

@coolcool9090: That looks alot better! You could try raising the crease likes more, into the purple, not too much.. You should also put some outline around your color changes, make that outline lighter than your main outline and darker than your dark shading, unless thats all one dress and its not line an under dress. o_o"
The shading that goes across the waist, i'd round the bottom of that base off a little more, looks rigid.

@reinaharu your kimono is actually tool shaded o3o which means it isnt actually pixel art ^^; i would recommend just using one colour to start with and add your own shades to it rather than a gradient tool.

the hair lighting is a bit unnatural and more shading on the bangs would be nice.
also the top of the bang is really odd and needs to be fixed
