It's interesting, in Dutch we also have the "ei" sound. I think Italian is the only other language that has "ei".
This is a very formal audio curse, so I only learn about "lei" and not informal "you". So I guess you have subject - object - dative: io - me - mi, lei - le - le, tu? - te - ti

Yep.. my dad is Italian and my mom is.. I think part Polish, but mostly American. So I think Im more Italian than American, but either way I have way more family in Italy than anywhere else. Im pretty sure my dad is completely Italian, but he has lived in America since 13 years of age or so. Plane tickets from America to Italy are like $1800 dollars per person, so I've only been once for like a month. (Since my dad has SO many cousins and 2nd cousins and 3rd cousins.. ect.. we pretty much ate at a different house every night. xD) Though right now my grandparents are visiting with us for a little while, which is why I wish I would've learned Italian when I was younger. By the time I finally learn (if ever), they'll probably be gone. Though if I did learn eventually, I might just move to Italy some time.. (I'm pretty sure when my grandparents die, my parents will get the house, but I wouldn't want to live somewhere a deceased relative lived x-x). I have 4 cousins in Italy, one even teached me how to count to 20 >w< One accidentally threw a dart and gave me a black eye, one had a birthday while I was in Italy (he turned 6 I think) and the other mostly just hung out with his girlfriend. xD Though some of them we talk to on Skype :p
It's cool that you have English cousins, it's nice they can see their grandparents every so often though. :3
