Not carnival, carnaval, it's a catholic holiday that has something to do with Easter, and all the people dress up and go into the street and act all crazy. It's really fun but I don't live in the catholic part of the country. My father is from that part, though.
February 25, 2009 23:25 ()
:o That does sound fun. I wonder if my catholic friend knows about it...>3>
February 26, 2009 4:19 ()
Never heard of it. o.o
February 26, 2009 19:02 ()
Jewish people don't do that sort of thing T_T Nor Christians! *cries*
February 26, 2009 21:01 ()
Too serious, huh?
February 26, 2009 21:59 ()
Aah! Religious discussion! Must hide! *dives behind a random boulder that just so happened to be there*
February 26, 2009 22:12 ()
Idk...I'm Christian and i think it sounds effin awesome :D
February 26, 2009 22:21 ()
I think this isn't what you think Candi *pulls her out*
It's Lenten Season here but no carnavals...
February 26, 2009 22:26 ()
-is lost now- "Lenten Season"?
February 26, 2009 22:42 ()
It's actually pre-Lenten Season since last Wednesday.
Lenten Week then starts & ends @Easter Sunday.
We start to fast and tend to have no "fun" gatherings.
But I've been to a carnaval when I was very little.
February 26, 2009 23:08 ()
:O Oh! You mean Lent Yah I do that :3 And for us it's not so much general fasting as it is fasting from one certain thing...
February 27, 2009 2:47 ()
From just one item? How does that count?
February 27, 2009 2:57 ()
It just does :\\ Why do you have to be so cynical all the time?
February 27, 2009 8:13 ()
I'm Atheist (Can't remember spelling)
February 27, 2009 10:57 ()
@Tully - I think you spelt it right.
February 27, 2009 14:56 ()
That would be going light versus those that do more. Going without one item for a period of time isn't much of a short term sacrifice.
I would not say cynical all the time. I simply don't play along too much and certainly not in your presense.
Besides, it leaves openings to freely question and be fairly open minded while trying to see more than what is there. Got a problem with open minds, Chich?
February 27, 2009 16:02 ()
No. I just don't like you trying to say my religion is wrong >:\\
February 27, 2009 23:21 ()
Yeah, I'm the only Jewish (half christian aswell, I'm stuck between the religions) girl in my whole school. It's tough cause my dad is jewish and mum is a christian. I don't know what path to choose.
February 28, 2009 3:18 ()
I am not saying it is wrong. fool. I choose fool because you are not supporting. You didn't answer my questions of why that item is or gave a reason. If you do not supply answers then you are merely leaving a hole for yourself to jump into rash conclusions.
I only hear of people going without food for awhile and staying with water. So answer. It is not as though you will die from betraying those answers.
Aye: Hmm...I am not a religious person so just practise what you feel comfortable of putting your faith in. A naive answer on my part but it is up to the person. Right?
February 28, 2009 3:22 ()
This is what I was taught and how my religion is so drop it.
February 28, 2009 3:22 ()
That better answer your stupid question.
February 28, 2009 3:27 ()
Then what exactly is the said item?
Can't be rational? Can't explain more of your religion?
February 28, 2009 3:39 ()
what is this "item" you're talking about? If you're talking about what we give up, It's something we choose but it has to be something we use every day. Like if someone reall likes soda, they give it up :\\
February 28, 2009 3:44 ()
So it changes from...what's a good word, fads? Or just general life trends like videogames and being in the internet too much?
February 28, 2009 3:58 ()
Usually the thing you like the most, you give up.
February 28, 2009 3:59 ()
So, for an example, a person likes taking care of plants. Does that person let them die for a week or let someone else take care of them so they won't have to touch them?
February 28, 2009 4:00 ()
Usually a thing that's not life threatening...
February 28, 2009 4:02 ()
Then it's not much of a sacrifice. I asked that if it would end up being a hobby.
What about talking?
February 28, 2009 4:03 ()
Oh sure. But if it's something very important, you'd probably be allowed to talk. It's not like there's dire consequences for not following the fast. The guilt is enough.
February 28, 2009 4:09 ()
But that's why you take a whiteboard and a marker with you. Going without talking is just hard for those that justlove to open their mouths. There are other ways of talking without a voice. If it is to make that person completely mute of any form of communication then though for them.
So all this fasting is to soak in a guilt pool awhile?
February 28, 2009 4:16 ()
=_= The whole point of Lent:
Celebrating the last days of Jesus, we give up something we really enjoy as a sacrifice to Him. Even if we really want to do it, we must refrain because it's for Jesus.
February 28, 2009 5:12 ()
......Why are we talking about religions?
February 28, 2009 5:29 ()
Because Waltz has to pick at things.
February 28, 2009 9:10 ()
Well she has a good point for me. *gleams*
March 1, 2009 3:36 ()
Are you supporting me, Aye?
March 1, 2009 15:48 ()
Yes! XD
March 2, 2009 4:04 ()
No!
March 2, 2009 4:09 ()
Pie!
March 2, 2009 20:55 ()
For aye...I give you a 4.5 on my odd scale...
March 3, 2009 1:32 ()
4.5 out of what? I like being odd. Chich! Pie where? *drools*
March 3, 2009 1:45 ()
Here! -throws-
March 3, 2009 3:07 ()
All i see is words :[
March 3, 2009 19:01 ()
-flies around-
March 4, 2009 0:52 ()
bored...
March 4, 2009 5:07 ()
Then be characters. Act out your own little version of an RPG or something. Maybe a spin off of a game like the "Tales Of" series or "Dragon Quest".
Course, those are suggestions since you can't put forward some of your own yet.

Care to explain that?
Yuck blueberry!
