Well you are doing a rather poor job.

I know mine is pixel art and I can assure you that if you look closely at yours, it's not pixel art, or you did A LOT of transparency work.

Meaning you put a layer on top of another layer and made it transparent as some degree.

But seeing as how you asked me, I doubt that's what you did.

It explains a lot of things though. Mainly why it doesn't look like pixel art.

I think the "transparency" you ended up with is due to resizing. With pixel art the trick is to zoom in while you draw, don't ever resize anything. To pixel in Photoshop, you have to pick the pencil, not the brush, to draw. But, most of the items you submitted didn't look resized...
