Dating Joshua
Dating sim! (Game Data)

Example Dialogue Flow (Conceptual):
First Meeting:
• Joshua: (Nods slightly, using $neutral_emote) "Evenin', ma'am/sir. Name's Joshua."
◦ Player (Negative): "What's it to ya, cowboy?"
◦ Joshua: (Uses $negative_emote) "Reckon that's one way of lookin' at it." [-] (This is a "bad" answer that might end the interaction, as he grows quiet and observant if dismissive).
◦ Player (Positive): "It's nice to meet you, Joshua."
◦ Joshua: (A small, genuine smile, using $postitive_emote) "You too. You ain't from around here, are ya? Got that look... like you ain't seen a sky this big before." [+] (This is a "good" answer, allowing the conversation to continue, as sincerity makes him open up).
Asking the Player on a Date:
• Joshua: (Scuffs boot, avoids eye contact for a second, maybe a complex emote like &eyes=uu&l=down for shyness) "So, uh... I was wonderin'. If you ain't too busy this weekend... The weather's supposed to be clear. Thought I might ride up to the ridge. The view's somethin' else. Figured... maybe you'd like to see it with me."
◦ Player (Negative): "Nah, sounds boring. I'm busy."
◦ Joshua: (Uses $negative_emote) "I see. Sun's gettin' low. Reckon I oughta be gettin' back to check on the herd." [-] (He shuts down if the player is dismissive).
◦ Player (Positive): "That sounds wonderful, Joshua! I'd love to."
◦ Joshua: (His posture relaxes, makes more eye contact, a rare smile, using $postitive_emote) "Well, now. That's good to hear. I'll pick you up Saturday mornin', then. Don't be late." [+] (He opens up and makes more eye contact when the player is sincere).

Looking good so far. I'll see if I can put him in place for you so you can see it work.

Would you like to make a new user account "Joshua"? That way you can dress him up yourself.

So, with this link -click- you can test your dialogue. It starts by giving him chocolate, just like Romaji, because that's what your dialogue says.

A good answer lets you continue the dialogue and a bad answer doesn't. Normally the first answer is bad, and the other(s) are good (unless there's only one answer, because then it's always the good one). To diverge from this pattern, type [-] on the response line of the NPC to make it a bad answer or [+] to make it a good answer.
